Claudia Malecka is a Berlin based audiovisual artist, film director, photographer, and musician. With a multicultural background, raised in Germany with parents from Poland and Italy, Claudia brings a unique perspective to her work. Renowned for her exploration of emotions and the delicate balance between strength and vulnerability within the individual’s inner world, Claudia's work conjures dreamscapes that intersect with reality, provoking a reexamination of our perception of the present.
A true 'one-woman show,' Claudia seamlessly transitions between roles, serving as a film director, photographer, art director, editor and cinematographer. Her multifaceted talents allow her to bring a cohesive vision to every project, infusing it with her unique style and creative flair.
With a background in Design and Art studies, including a Master’s Degree from the renowned UdK Berlin, Claudia's visual style thrives on contrasts, vivid palettes, and bold graphic shapes. Her work has been recognized with prestigious awards such as the Emerging Talent Award at the B3 Biennial of the Moving Image for her Short Film Escapism where she shared the stage with Jonas Mekas and other outstanding audiovisual artists. Additionally, her poster animation of 'The Sleep Of Reason' by Roman Cieślewicz was exhibited as one of the winners of "The Poster Remediated" competition at the Poster Museum in Warsaw. Claudia is currently a Fellow of the Soho House in collaboration with the Creative Futures Collective, highlighting her influence and impact in the creative community.
